Soft Ginger Cake



  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Mix ingredients in bowl.
  3. Pour into pan.
  4. Bake slowly.


  • 1/2c. sugar
  • 1/3c. shortening
  • 1tsp. baking soda
  • 1 3/4c. flour
  • 1/2c. molasses  1 egg
  • 1tsp. ginger or cinnamon
  • 3/4c. boiling water to be added last.
